Eid al-Adha 2027 sacrifices: when to book and how to choose
The expected date of Eid al-Adha 2027, a booking timeline, the basic conditions of the sacrifice, and how to book a Sudanese sheep.
In short: Eid al-Adha 2027 is expected around 16 May 2027; the final date depends on the Dhul Hijjah moon sighting. Book at least two months before, especially for sheep coming from outside Saudi Arabia, and choose a sound animal of the right age.
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| Jan–Feb 2027 | decide numbers and budget, review offers |
| Mar 2027 | book; agree weight, price and collection date |
| Apr 2027 | confirm transport and handover |
| early Dhul Hijjah | collect and care for your sheep until Eid |
Conditions: minimum age (jadha' — six months per many jurists, one year per others; ask a scholar) and freedom from the four defects — see how to choose an Eid sheep. Book on our Eid al-Adha page.
